KAHRE Group's EcoVision Velddrif Invests in the Future of Creating Hope Academy

Through EcoVision Velddrif, KAHRE Group partners with Creating Hope Africa to support the future development of Creating Hope Academy.

Sustainable development is not only about roads, buildings, energy systems or water infrastructure. It is also about the people who will live, learn, work and build their futures within those systems.

This is the thinking behind the partnership between KAHRE Renewable Energy Group (the developers behind EcoVision Velddrif) and Creating Hope Africa.

As part of this partnership, approximately 20–25 hectares of land within the EcoVision Velddrif development is planned to be donated in support of the future development of Creating Hope Academy.

Creating Hope Academy is a skills-first education model designed to prepare young people for real pathways into work, enterprise and community contribution. It is not a traditional school model. The Academy brings together academic learning, vocational training, and occupational exposure, along with food security, psychosocial support and community-based economic linkages.

Its central outcome is employability, not only certification.

For Creating Hope Africa, this partnership reflects a shared belief: long-term community development must connect infrastructure with education, skills and opportunity. EcoVision Velddrif will shape the physical environment, but Creating Hope Academy is intended to help shape what becomes possible for young people within that environment.

The partnership also sits alongside Creating Hope Africa’s broader work in Velddrif, including the Velddrif 2911 Youth Conference 2026. The conference was organised by Creating Hope Africa through its 2911 community programme and brought together young people, partners and opportunity-builders for a day focused on skills development, employment pathways, leadership and hope for the future. KAHRE Renewable Energy Group and EcoVision Velddrif were invited to attend the conference as valued partners and supporters of Creating Hope Africa’s wider vision. While the Youth Conference and the Academy are separate initiatives, both reflect Creating Hope Africa’s wider commitment to creating practical pathways for young people in Velddrif.

Creating Hope Africa extends its sincere thanks to KAHRE Renewable Energy Group and EcoVision Velddrif for recognising that building the future requires more than development on land. It requires investing in the people who will one day lead, shape and strengthen that future.
